Ice Tree
Again

Invigorated by the sheer beauty of the night,
snapping shots as I traversed the tiny Town Square,
of shiny ice carvings and snowy tree lights,
I pranced down the street without one single care.

I casually walked through a door that had been left ajar,
and when you saw me, your wide smile of delight filled the air,
while diners who glanced up instantly thought,
those two spellbound souls are certainly a pair.

That might have been so before,
but not here, and not now,
it was from some other lifetime,
that we almost shared, long ago.

Our lesson not learned, again, the karma replayed,
with a predestined meeting to take place on this night.
Will we falter and make the same blunders this time,
or will this lifetime be the one where our destinies align?
