Do you believe in angels? I know that I do.
For I am sure that I have seen one,
on several occasions, I swear it is true,
a radiant vision as bright as the sun.
With the graceful gait of a dancer
she wanders the streets,
casting her shy smile on strangers,
searching skywards before she retreats.
Where does she come from?
Where does she go?
Where does she sleep?
That last one is what we men all want to know.
She embodies the elusive attainment of dreams,
but I ask you, this time, is that so far away?
I daydream and I pray that I will see my angel again,
and for the courage to engage her and to ask her to stay.
