My little girl with the dark brown eyes,
what can I do to make you smile?

That angry man who wields a gun,
I can’t be there to protect you if he comes.

Instead I will pray that dark scene does not come true,
and for God’s protection to always follow you.

My little girl with the dark brown eyes,
forget your fears, and smile, my child.

Note:  brown eyes are the predominant eye color in the world, almost everywhere across the globe . . . Asiatic, Islander, Native Indian, African, European, Australian, South American, Mexican, North American, Native Alaskan . . . and even this fair-skinned, befreckled author.  It surely follows that it is the eye color of most of the men and women, boys and girls, who will suffer abuse.

No matter whether the color of your eyes is brown or blue, choosing respect is all up to you.
