Dream Garden
Dream Maker

The prophecy was for two sister souls with a destiny to share,
one to live up in the valley, the other down by the sea,
two little girls would learn to love gardening chores
each from their fathers independently.

One while tumbling upon bags of special grass seed
destined to become the lawns of the famed Disneyland,
one while padding softly across the lush green dichondra
to learn about camellias, just her and her dad.

They would head north from California decades apart just to dream
of the garden visions in Alaska that they could create.
In the hills one would yearn for a garden and the beauty it would bring,
while on the bluffs one would plant a garden that she could not sustain.

Serendipity would bind their dreams together as one
by spinning magical timing to the world down below,
so a waning soul could entrust her garden grown with great love
into the hands of her pre-destined understudy and sister gardening soul.
