Forget me not, though I’ve gone away,
for you are in my heart to stay.

Forget me not, I would come back soon,
but yours is the life that doesn’t have room.

Forget me not, is what I beg of you,
though I already know it is coming true.

Forget me not, here at the top of the world,
for you are the reason that my passion swirls.

Forget-me-not, the Alaska State Flower,
and now I understand more clearly why.
