Lemons

As the old saying goes, and you know it very well,
when life gives you lemons you are to make lemonade.
We believe in this advice, but have a lemon twist which is this,
when life gives you bitter lemons, embrace the whole lemon that it gave.

Lemon branches in a vase create a fragrant fresh bouquet,
and lemon peels are used in lemoncello which is easily made.
Then slice and freeze the “naked” lemons, don’t let them go to waste,
and you’ll have them when you want to make another batch of lemonade.
Add a lemon wedge to iced or hot tea, or to a glass of sparkling or tap water,
or use edible flowers along with lemon slices for truly fancy lemonade.

You see, a lemon really is a wonder, and a chance for you to change
something that used to frustrate you or fill your world with gloom or hate.
So take our lemony advice, and next time life’s lemons come your way,
find a new way to use those lemons to make your world a better place.
