I hear the silent songs
 in the atmosphere,
 as they are exhaled
 in the breath of the earth,
 the gentle chants
 for universal truth,
 the expansion of clarity
 through lessons learned,
 the inner sighs of relief
 after facing one’s fears,
 the prayers for healing
 to sooth tender burns,
 the weary last wishes
 of souls worn by their years,
 and the secret longings for love
 in between all the tears.
